This is a photo of a Polish soldier of the Polish Army in France, taken on January 1, 1940. He stands at attention wearing a French Army greatcoat and leather ammunition pouches, with the Polish eagle on his beret. Behind him, fellow soldiers line up with bayonets fixed, far from their occupied homeland.

Just months earlier, in September 1939, Poland had been invaded by Germany and the Soviet Union and fell within weeks. Rather than surrender, tens of thousands of Polish soldiers escaped through neighboring countries and regrouped in France under General Władysław Sikorski. Joined by Polish emigrants living in France, the army grew to around 80,000 troops by the spring of 1940.

Polish units fought in the Battle of France and at Narvik in Norway. When France fell in June 1940, many of them were evacuated to Britain, where they continued fighting for the rest of the war.

Proud of the woman I’m becoming and super proud of the woman I’ve helped throughout the years become better versions of themselves both inside and out 🫂❤️‍🩹 this is a gentle reminder to not compare your fitness journey to someone else’s. Everyone has different timelines, everyone has different struggles. I myself have gone through soooo many different stages in my life. From emotional eating to not eating enough and starving myself to finally finding balance. But let me tell you that shit took so much work and a whole lot of patience and just never giving up on myself no matter how many times I had to keep restarting and relearning. It was also super helpful having a partner who also locked in with me and helped keep me accountable 🥹🫂💋

So if you’re on your fitness journey remember to be kind to yourself and never give up!! You got this besties!! 🫂🤍

Pondering what’s next… ✨

After years of working all the time, momming to maybe a slightly too intense degree, and constantly filling my days with tasks, I’m starting to realize that keeping busy doesn’t necessarily quiet the mind.

Maybe it just keeps me from asking the bigger questions.

So now I’m trying something new. Slowing down. Sitting with the quiet. And asking myself something that feels surprisingly difficult…

What do I want? What do I really want? For me.

Not what needs to get done. Not what everyone else needs from me. Just… me.

You’d think that would be an easy question to answer. Turns out, not so much.

Anyone else finding this part of life a little challenging? 🤍
