Josh Chapman

This is my kid sister Julia Beth, also known as Jujubee, or just Gigi. She hiked to the top of the 2nd tallest mountain in Virginia in her zip-up elephant pj's and flower galoshes because she wanted to. Halfway up, she started complaining, saying that she was tired and she wanted to turn around. I reminded her that she had told me she wanted to hike in her boots and pj's when we started, so I was going to help her do it. As we neared the top, her moaning and groaning turned into excitement and a quickened pace, and when we finally saw the view, her first words were "wowwww, look Josh! we can see the whole world!"

I learned 2 lessons about God from this:

1) Our problems probably seem pretty small and silly to God, yet He is there with us every step of the way to help us because He loves us.

2) And because God loves us and wants us to be happy, He will help us accomplish our goals, even when we want to go back. He knows that the joy we get from enduring is greater than any relief we get from stopping.
