The results are in! Following the vote across our website and Facebook group, Machka the Anatolian Shepherd Mix is officially elected the 3rd Honorary Dog Mayor of New York City, with a final tally of 4,877 votes to 4,589 votes for Dr .Computer Chips the Shih Tzu! It was an extraordinarily close race—the lead changed hands 12 times throughout the day, with a surge in voting in the last hour—but Machka’s momentum proved decisive! Dr. Computer Chips will assume the role of Machka’s right-hand pup, serving as Deputy Dog Mayor of NYC! We’ll have a fuller breakdown of the round’s results in our next Substack entry, so read and subscribe at the link in our bio! We want to extend our deepest thanks to Dr. Computer Chips and all of the pups who ran for NYC Dog Mayor—it’s a grueling process and we’re grateful to all who participated. Our gratitude extends to our followers and supporters from both NYC and around the world—over 20 countries voted in the final round alone, proving that our message of positivity, kindness, fun, and civic engagement knows no borders! But the ballot-casting isn’t over! Please get out and VOTE in today’s Human Being Election Day, to ensure that Machka isn’t the only great person elected to office this week! Machka and Dr. Chips will take the Oaf of Office at our indoguration ceremony on the steps of NY City Hall on Sunday, January 17! The ceremony will mark the Peaceful Transfer of Pawer from our current Mayor Simon, who has served with great dognity and forthrightness! And keep an eye on our Instagram, Facebook page, and our website for updated brackets, info about upcoming contests and events, and more! #DogMayorNYC

Some Wednesdays are more special than others… Today isn’t just about wearing pink. It’s about celebrating something far more beautiful. Us. ❤️ From romantic dinners to stolen kisses, from dancing together to holding each other close… every little moment becomes another beautiful memory in our love story. We’ve shared laughter, dreams, unforgettable moments and a love that keeps growing stronger with every passing day. And if we could go back to the very beginning, knowing everything we know today, we’d still choose each other. Every single time. So here’s to us, to the love we share, and to all the beautiful chapters we have yet to write together. Happy Pink Wednesday, everyone! With love, Lara & Sofia #LaraVictoria #SofiaBerg #RedheadsInLove #PinkWednesday #LoveStory
