SciFiNight

Dean Koontz is definitely one of my favorite authors, so the Sci-Fi horror angle of 'Demon Seed' was perfect, as a highly advanced artificial intelligence escapes, infiltrates a Home, falls in love with the woman who lives there, and becomes obsessed with loving her in physical form.

While a really liked a lot of it, and the fact that the whole book is from the AI's unreliable perspective was both interesting and at times very funny, I also feel like that format was slightly limiting. I also felt like the ominous impregnation was sort of glossed over and I was really curious as to Susan's reactions to everything but it all felt a little rushed. While I mostly liked the ending, it wasn't quite as fun and interesting as the ride to get there.

Still, Koontz is a master of suspense and overall the book is very well written ans really hard to put down, it just isn't one of my favourites of his.
