Quiet helpers in the preparation of tea, each tea scoop complements the curves of our fingers, allowing for a gentle scoop of tea leaves.
Hand carved by a community of craftswomen who select wood from the dry deciduous forests surrounding the town of Udayagiri, Andhra Pradesh. Udayagiri lies in the shadow of the southernmost hills of the eastern ghats. The local craft practice of cutlery making uses little to no machines in its production, relying much on the eye and hand-skills of each craftswoman.

PETAL Tea Scoops are designed and developed as part of a NIFT X USTTAD project. They also received a shortlist at the Lexus Design Award 2020 - Craft Category. A set of four is on display at the Lexus Gallery at the IGIA Airport, New Delhi.
