Iran’s left found out who was using whom when it was far too late to change course. Americans still have time to ask the question. Last night wasn’t one surprise win. The Democratic Socialists of America picked up at least five House seats, Michigan sent a senator to Washington who campaigned with Hasan Piker, and New York elected lawmakers who spent the last two years at encampments and Gaza rallies. Most voters didn’t choose any of this. They were angry at an unpopular president and the cost of living, and they voted for whoever had a D next to their name. That’s exactly how coalitions like this one get into power without anyone signing off on what they believe. The progressives cheering last night say they stand for women’s rights, gay rights and free speech. One day, they may realize this coalition was the beginning of the end of those rights. 🗽 I created Basic Optimism to bring common sense back to the West. Imagine scientists testing tiny SHRIMP in UK rivers and discovering something they NEVER expected! 😳🦐🌊 Researchers studying freshwater shrimp across several rivers in Suffolk, England, found traces of surprising chemical substances in EVERY sample they tested! These included residues from medications, agricultural chemicals, and other substances associated with human activity. Scientists believe wastewater and environmental runoff may be contributing to the contamination. The most concerning part? These tiny creatures are being exposed to chemicals that don't naturally belong in their environment! 😢🌍 Although the amounts detected were generally very small, researchers are investigating how long-term exposure could affect aquatic wildlife and ecosystems. It's a reminder that what humans release into the environment doesn't simply disappear — it can eventually reach the smallest creatures in our rivers. BE HONEST: Does it surprise you that everyday human activities can affect wildlife in ways we don't even realize? 😳🦐👇
