It’s been a wild few weeks. I just want to express my gratitude for everything to everyone. From getting to open up the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga to getting the entertainer of the year award at @intlbluegrass and seeing all my friends there.. jamming till 4am .. to the amazing shows in Huntsville at the beautiful @theorionamphitheater to the madness of our Halloween shows in Baltimore.. trick or treating in all the different rooms backstage at @cfgbankarena with my son. Working so hard on the He-man theme and seeing it all come together.. I was nervous leading up to it. I had to sit down and catch my breath shortly before we walked on stage. I was having bad anxiety and we had been playing for 8 hours a day leading up to it trying to cram all these arrangements in our brains. I had no idea if we were gonna pull it off but somehow we always do. Even the couple original tunes I wrote for the theme went over great!! It’s just been an absolute whirlwind and I am so grateful to be able to do make this music with this incredible band and amazing team who all work their hind-ends off to make it happen. The little kid in this picture would not believe it. Thank you all for blowing his little mind.
Wayyyyy back Wednesday is that still a thing? Haha this was 2020 about 10 days before I won my pro card I was 23 years old around 218 lbs here always fun to look back on moments and remember what I thought and felt. I knew this was the one i had zero doubt I was going to win a card. The funny part is I thought I was starting to kinda get big here now looking at it I was tiny haha literally just a baby. That was my 3rd season bodybuilding and had grown about 25-30 lbs of muscles in a 3 years time. This is when I realized I was never going to be the biggest on stage but my shape and structure could make me dangerous with the right amount of tissue. But honestly in this moment the thing that is the thing I remember most was I had just walked away from working 60-70 hours a week in construction to do this full time as I had finally made a decent name to be able to coach and train others. I was in shock that this was my life I dropped out of pharmacy school 2 years early to chase my dream and it was paying off. I moved to Denver and was training with @brett_wilkin everyday like we dreamed about for 2 years this part of my career will always have such a special place in my heart
