2 days ago I had my birthday and it still amazes me to think that I've turned 25! ๐คฏ
It's an age that has always felt distant and strange to me. I used to think of this age as my turning point, where I have to be mature and know the answers to everything... so I'm a bit nervous to finally reach this moment. Hopefully I can get myself together and figure out how to function as a 25 years old properly. ๐
On the other side, I miss being 18. It was an exciting time - I just moved out from my parents' house and got into college, got the first taste of living on my own and taking care of everything... a perfect combo of freedom with less responsibility. It's been a long time ago and I've changed a lot ever since, though.

We are age twins! ๐โค๏ธ happy birthday!! I DEFINITElY do not ever want to be a teenager again lmao I hated high school. But I loved the final 2 years of college :) ages 20-22. I loved my college and miss it all of the time. I miss having my friends as neighbors and I miss my professors and classes and my small PA town. I think I miss dreaming of having all of the things I have now (my psych PhD, seeing patients, etc) because I have everything I wanted career wise and itโs nice. But Iโm an adult now. I have a lot of responsibility. In some ways Iโm nostalgic for the dream I had rather than living it. As life becomes more normal again Iโm sure Iโll embrace 25 more thoโค๏ธbut I feel like a forever child

Happy Birthday! โบ๏ธ๐ I remember panicking when I turned 25/26 because I thought Iโd have to stop exploring, but Iโm turning 30 in about a month and I know Iโm happier & more secure in myself now (and donโt need to conform to expectations) ๐ I do miss having less responsibilities though ๐โ๏ธ
