Kennedy Meadows to Forrester Pass with a little detour up to the summit of Mount Whitney. To say the scenery has changed since the desert would be an understatement. Water is in abundance now and it is so nice to only need to carry 2 liters of water at a time instead of the 6 liters that was sometimes needed in the desert. It does seem like we traded the need to carry more water for nearly 4,000 feet of climbing per day over these mountain passes. A new section of the PCT comes with new challenges. At least my feet and legs don’t hurt any more!
