Happy Halloween! 🎃🩸 What better way to wrap up spooky season than with a return to one of horror’s most iconic stories? For our final digital cover of the month, we’re stepping into the world of #Carrie with Alison Thornton (@ali.g.thornton), who takes on the role of Chris Hargensen in Mike Flanagan’s series adaptation of Stephen King’s iconic debut novel. Reimagining a character previously portrayed by Nancy Allen in the beloved 1976 film, Alison brings a fresh perspective to one of Carrie White’s most notorious bullies. With the new adaptation expanding the story across eight episodes, Thornton explores the troubled teenager behind Chris’s cruelty, finding the humanity in a character audiences love to hate. “So much of what Chris does comes from her home life and her lack of emotional support, and a lot of the conversations with Mike [Flanagan] were just about humanizing her and making sure that she doesn’t just come from a place of cruelty for the sake of cruelty. A lot of her bullying Carrie has nothing to do with Carrie. It all has to do with Chris and what she’s going through, and her lack of healthy coping mechanisms.” Read the full cover feature at Popternative.com. Link in bio. 🚨 “Real Madrid’s attacks against Barcelona over the Negreira case are 𝐔𝐍𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄.” ‼️🇪🇸 “Real Madrid are stretching it out and chewing it like a gum”, LaLiga president Javier Tebas said. “Barcelona will have to bear responsibility if necessary, but right now Barça 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐁𝐄 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆, because it is Real Madrid that is drawing out the legal process, not Barça.” 💢 “Barca’s case has 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲’𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞, and what happened with City cannot influence the justice system here. The decision must be made here, in Spain.”
Everyone, meet Lucky Penny. She is in rough shape, and I can’t wait for her treatment to start kicking in so she can feel better. 🧡 Forever grateful to our @orphankittenclub supporters and our vet who make it possible to take on these challenging medical cases.
