Well apparently it’s #nationaldogday so here’s a little appreciation post for my boy Reese, getting this little guy was the best decision of my entire life. If you told me a couple of years ago that I would have a wiener dog I wouldn’t believe it 😂 No matter how bad of a mood or shitty day I’m having he makes me forget about it all, I truly understand the meaning of “mans best friend” now.

Nine people were killed after a private Learjet crashed near West Palm Beach, Florida, while traveling from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas. The co-pilot has been identified by her family as 20-year-old Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, who earned her private pilot’s license at 17. The identities of the other people aboard have not yet been publicly released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

STILL: a zombie survival game where the town doesn’t wait for you We’re building an isometric survival game set in a small southern Ukrainian town in the 90s–2000s. Think Project Zomboid, but the world keeps living whether you’re looking or not. Here’s what makes it different: No health bar. You have blood, measured in milliliters. Bullets travel through flesh, organs and arteries. A hit to the finger won’t kill you. A nicked artery will, unless you get a tourniquet on in time. Armor goes by real protection classes, and a helmet matters. A town of about a thousand real people. Every resident has a home, a job, a family and a place in the social ladder. A cop’s house is richer and has no vegetable garden, and the mayor has a big house with an orchard. They keep living their lives off-screen in one shared simulation, not just inside your view. Day Zero, hour by hour. Zombies show up at 8 a.m. At 4 p.m. the research institute’s lab is breached and something worse gets out. People flee by car, the checkpoint closes and the exit road jams. You live through the collapse instead of waking up after it. People fight to survive, not to die. In a gunfight, NPCs weigh their odds. Can we win? Is this worth dying for? They retreat, surrender or spare you. A gang doesn’t charge you like a horde. They remember what you did. Walk up covered in blood, or wearing a jacket that belongs to someone’s brother, and people react to it. Take over a house by killing the family inside and the neighbors will know. Weld your car into a weapon. What you build in the garage is physical. Pipes, sheets and spikes all count, and zombies get impaled on them, sometimes just parts of them and sometimes whole bodies. Failure teaches too. You get better at things by trying them, including when you mess up. It’s early, and we’re building it in the open.
