. Emotional numbness ❔ -in progress- A reminder of how often, in our daily lives, we are physically present but completely absent mentally. I’m sure, we’ve all experienced these moments. We look at the perfectly curated lives of strangers, compare ourselves to them, keep scrolling and in the process, we miss the real moment, that’s happening right before our eyes. When was the last time you really looked at someone? Or the last time you were fully present in the here and now? My painting should be a wake-up call to consciously put down our screens every now and then, to reconnect with the people around us without filters, to listen to them and to choose real, imperfect life over the digital illusion. Because at the end of the day, no screen in the world can replace the feeling of genuine human connection. Isn’t it worth it? #art #thoughts #painting #portrait #bettinapeterart

"Mommy, you're crazy and ugly" Blueface and Jaidyn Alexis' daughter Journey (aka Pinkface) had social media cracking up after jokingly calling her mom "crazy and ugly" in the kitchen, bursting into laughter before Jaidyn playfully checked her and threatened an early bedtime!
