31 years ago today, Tha Dogg Pound released their debut studio album, Dogg Food, on October 31, 1995. The Death Row Records duo of Daz Dillinger and Kurupt delivered a hard-hitting West Coast project rooted in G-funk, sharp lyricism, and the sound that helped define the label’s mid-’90s run.

The album featured standout tracks like “New York, New York,” “Let’s Play House,” “Respect,” “Dogg Pound Gangstaz,” and “Smooth,” with appearances from Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Michel’le, and others.

Dogg Food helped establish Tha Dogg Pound as a major force in West Coast Hip-Hop and remains one of Death Row’s defining releases from the era. 🔊

💡Did You Know?
Daz Dillinger handled much of the album’s production, with additional production from DJ Pooh and Kurupt.

“Ten years and I don’t get the benefit of the doubt?” 👀

That’s where things got personal. Hours went by without a call back, and by the end it was, “Cool. Stay in St. Louis then.”

Would the missed call bother you more, or feeling like they made up their mind before hearing you out? 👇🏾
