This close up was lit with two Arri T-12 Tungsten Fresnels pushed through two 12x12 Light Grid frames that were double diffused with 250 frames. I did not need negative fill on the right side of the faces as the church was vast and dark. Windows were lit with M-40 and M-18 HMIs. I set the camera’s color temperature to 4300 Kelvin. The deep background was lit by a Tungsten lighting balloon. @arri @arricinema @hawk_la #alexamini @keslowcamera @robertkeslow

It's crazy to know how much lighting goes into creating a scene that looks "normal" especially considering the dynamic range of modern cameras. It also makes a lot of lighting from older productions look super janky and weird.
