$A gel injected straight into weak bones made them up to nearly five times denser in a matter of weeks, at least in rats 🦴💉 Researchers at Switzerland’s EPFL and the startup flowbone have developed an injectable hydrogel aimed at osteoporosis, the condition that leaves bones fragile and prone to fractures. It’s made from hyaluronic acid and hydroxyapatite nanoparticles, which mimic the natural minerals found in bone, and it can be injected right where bones are most at risk. On its own, the gel doubled or tripled local bone density in rats with osteoporosis. When it was mixed with the drug Zoledronate and paired with a bone-building treatment, density at the injection site jumped as much as 4.8 times in two to four weeks. It’s not a cure. The boost is local and can fade without ongoing medication, so researchers see it working alongside existing treatments. The team is now seeking approval for its first clinical study in human patients.$

What if every “mak kau hijau” made your mum a little greener?

Your friend found out what it does. Then he found out who’s driving you to school.

Would you still say it? 👀
