This analysis highlights a profound paradox within the modern pharmaceutical landscape. The contrast between Sir Frederick Banting’s decision to sell the insulin patent for $1 in 1923—prioritizing human life over profit—and the current reality of exorbitant costs and insurance barriers is a damning indictment of our healthcare system. When life-saving medication becomes a financial liability that families cannot afford, it raises urgent questions about medical ethics, market regulations, and the fundamental right to health. This is a critical call for policymakers and industry leaders to address systemic inequities before more lives are put at risk.

We need a different term than “socialism.” It’s like how these idiots are for the ACA and against “Obamacare.” You apparently can’t fix stupid, so we just need to change the game. We all know that they love this sh!t when it’s framed differently.
