Let’s start calling it like it is

Israel’s Arab political parties are reportedly preparing to support opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot in an effort to remove Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from power. The move could significantly change the country’s political landscape, as the Arab parties collectively hold 19 seats in Israel’s 120-member parliament.

Their support could help Eisenkot form an alternative government, but Netanyahu has not been removed from office. Negotiations and sufficient parliamentary backing would still be required.

Franceʼs October 17 protests were entirely French in origin. Yet, Russian influence networks worked for weeks to weaponize them, research by @alliance4europe reveals.

Before the demonstrations began, the Russian Doppelganger botnet deployed 639 synchronized posts blaming high prices directly on aid to Ukraine. Once the unrest erupted, Moscowʼs Pravda network published 1,018 identical articles across 28 websites in nine languages, while foreign-facing bots reframed the riots around anti-migrant rhetoric.

Russia doesnʼt need to cause Europeʼs grievances. It simply hijacks them to divide societies and weaken international support for Ukraine.
