Saint Helena, the remote South Atlantic island outpost most famous for being where Napoleon died in exile, is one of the more memorable trips I’ve ever taken.
Jamestown, the capital, is one of the most unique places I’ve ever been because of its insane geographical layout and very complicated driving! Have you been to Saint Helena or know anything about it?

Whoa… Napoleon.. ( heading to his earlier islands). Had a terrific lobster from there!

I grew up in a house in Ireland that at one point was home to a Dr James Verling. He died there in 1858 and is buried in my town Cobh. He was appointed Napoleon’s physician at St Helena. He never actually treated him but did take part in the autopsy. When I was a child we used to go to the cemetery to look at his skeleton, you could see them through the bars of the grave. Sort of a six degrees of separation kind of thing, I always felt a connection to Napoleon. 😊
