๐ŸŽƒ HALLOWEEN MAY BE OVER, LET THE HARD WORK BEGIN! ๐ŸŽ„โค๏ธ Halloween was absolutely AMAZING! We had so many people coming to see the decorations, and it was still incredibly busy at the house during the day. Honestly, we'd happily leave it all up for a little longer! But this week, it's coming down and CHRISTMAS IS COMING! ๐ŸŽ…๐ŸŽ„ And I am SO excited! The reason we start Christmas so early is because it takes us several weeks to get everything ready. We want it all finished by the 1st of December so that we can sit back, relax and enjoy the magic of Christmas rather than spending the whole of December decorating! And here's the thingโ€ฆ I actually leave my Christmas decorations up until around the 5th or 6th of January, Why? Because we follow tradition and after all the hard work, I want Gary and I to have time to enjoy it all, too. No more decorating, no more moving things around, just time to enjoy our home and Christmas together. โค๏ธ So, the countdown beginsโ€ฆ Halloween is packing up and Christmas is moving in! ๐ŸŽ„โœจ NOW TELL MEโ€ฆ WHEN DO YOU PUT YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE UP? Are you an early November person, do you wait until December, or are you one of those who puts it up on Christmas Eve? ๐Ÿ˜‚ #ChristmasIsComing #ChristmasDecorating #ChristmasHome #ChristmasLovers #ChristmasCountdown Halloween2026 FestiveSeason ChristmasMagic SallyJacks

Happy November! ๐Ÿงก This month brings all the feels because not only is it a time for thanks and appreciation but this little guy will be turning 2 years old in just a couple weeks ๐Ÿฅน and it just so happened his Barkday is just a few days after our anniversary so how lucky are we to get to celebrate them together ๐Ÿฅฐ Are you embracing November today or still needing time to let it sink in that the year is almost over? ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ’› Sailor bow @oliveandcouperco_ P.S. The idea of being the โ€œperfect housewifeโ€ in the 1940s came with a long list of expectations that would seem almost unimaginable today. ๐Ÿค Women were often expected to maintain a spotless home, prepare dinner before their husbands arrived, dress neatly, greet them with a smile and avoid discussing problems after a long working day. Household advice from the era also encouraged wives to listen patiently, avoid interrupting their husbands, create a peaceful atmosphere and put their husbandโ€™s comfort first. Behind this idealised image was a demanding reality. Many women spent their days cooking, cleaning, raising children and managing the household, often without the modern appliances we take for granted. These rules reflected the traditional gender roles promoted at the time, although not every household followed them. Which of these expectations do you think would cause the biggest controversy today? #1940s #history #nostalgia #vintagelife #socialhistory
