Every designer knows the saying “the client is always right” but what happens when the client is yourself? A solid blend of endless opportunity with striking indecision. Designing my own logo and brand has been one of the hardest projects while also being extremely rewarding.

At first I looked at the letters K and M as there most simple geometric shapes. I wanted this logo to really speak to what has influenced and inspired me from the beginning of my journey as a designer– illusionism, retro modernism, abstraction within lines, and incorporating some sense of nostalgia with color and imagery.

I recently took a leap of faith and left my full time senior designer role at an ad agency in nyc and transitioned into a full time freelance designer. Simultaneously my boyfriend and I are moving out of New York towards the west coast and becoming digital nomads. With all of these changes it is the perfect time for a rebrand!
