26.2 miles. Countless emotions. Yesterday, I had the privilege of running the NYC Marathon with @fredsteammskcc , raising money for cancer research. But this race meant so much more than the miles.This year has been the hardest of my life. In June, I lost my mom to pancreatic cancer, a loss that has changed me forever. There are days when the weight of that loss feels impossible to put into words.Throughout all 26.2 miles, I carried her with me. Every step through the five boroughs was a reminder of her strength, her love, and the impact she continues to have on my life. What started as a personal challenge became something much bigger, a chance to honor her memory while supporting a cause that means so much to me.What helped carry me to the finish line was the incredible support around me. From my family and friends cheering me on, to the thousands of fans lining the streets of New York City, to the fellow runners who took a moment to encourage me and tell me that my mother would be proud, I felt surrounded by love every step of the way. Those moments meant more than I can ever express.Running alongside thousands of people while helping raise money to fund cancer research made every mile even more meaningful. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a cause that impacts so many families and to run for something greater than myself.Mom, this finish line was for you. Until we find a cure, I’ll keep running, keep remembering, and keep fighting in your honor. 💜💜💜💜
