Mahalo @hiffhawaii for this beautiful honour. I totally did not feel deserving of this award, but to receive it in a place that had been so welcoming to me and my career over the years was so special. I genuinely love what I do and the people I get to meet along the way, so being celebrated for the journey so far is really sweet. This work can be such an isolating experience, but I didn’t get here on my own, so thank you to my circle for always cheering me on, even when times get tough on the road. I’ll always continue to push for our visibility on screens and champion my Pasifka peers who share the same dreams. Mālō ‘aupito to @daina.hugh the most talented ta’ahine Tonga designer for dressing me, and my glam team @jonahface & @risa.hoshino for making me feel so fab despite the jet lag! So so lucky to have my sister from home @emmatepaeru by my side. Laughing and sharing this with you was the BEST. I love you sm! P.s supporting the boys from a far! #matemaatonga 💪🇹🇴
