I can’t be the only one

I still look like a boy?

The way we respond to difficult situations often reveals how deeply we trust the Lord. It’s easy to remain patient when everything is going well, but what happens when someone disappoints us, speaks harshly, or disrupts our plans? James 1:19 reminds us to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. God never intended for our emotions to determine our character. When we allow frustration to control our responses, we often create problems that could have been avoided through patience and prayer.

Before responding to something that upsets you, ask yourself whether your words will honor God or simply satisfy your emotions. Philippians 4:7 reminds us that God’s peace will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. You cannot control how others behave, but with the Holy Spirit’s help, you can control how you respond. Don’t allow a difficult moment to rob you of the peace God desires for your life.

I came to the cottage this weekend with one goal

Mod my UTD-8000 in time for #autumnwatchweek

My watch-modding résumé is pretty short: one bezel swap on a Seiko SKX013 and a DIY dive watch build. If that counts 🙄

But swapping the new RZE-8080 module into my UTD-8000-CKG? Literally ten minutes. So simple a monkey could do it. And, apparently, one did 🐒

The upgrade brings dual time, multiple alarms, a countdown timer and a new FSTN display. I was already a big fan of this watch. Now it feels supercharged.

There’s something satisfying about giving a watch you already love a few more reasons to stay on your wrist. Credit to @rzewatches for bringing existing owners along for the ride.

And thanks to @hendersonshorology for hosting 😉
