new film for samsung 🤳

shot at Green Street Academy in Baltimore. centering around teacher Harry Preston and his sprawling cohort of students who are channeling STEM to confront problems in their community.

walked away inspired by the kids’ collective spirit, learning together and teaching each other, passing knowledge onto the next generation.

also moved by Harry’s mentorship, and by his choosing action over disillusionment, as his own children come up in the same system.

fun fact: as we set up for our very first shot, a bird flew into a power line and knocked out the electricity in the entire neighborhood.

been trying hard to be more flexible in every aspect of life, and that moment was a great reminder — you could do all of the prep and never predict the thing that derails you. still, we stayed the course and came away with a heartfelt film. thankful to the crew for their collaboration and resilience.
