A broken cross that is put back together has a story. Somehow it seems more authentic and real. It is stronger and more resilient than something that has stayed pristine. The breaking of what once was and then the careful and time-consuming repair process of putting it back together mirrors our lives. It is the mending that can contribute to its value.
