Friends across the oceans

We all know that Bookstagram is a very special corner of the Internet and the best place to connect with like-minded, bookish people. Even more so, when a group of you just ‘clicks’.  

And that’s exactly what happened just over a year ago, when we created Avid Readers Unite, a book club of 26 ladies spanning three generations — from baby Bronwyn to grandma Audrey.  

Affectionately known as The Bookish Titabouts, we hail from four continents and a wide variety of backgrounds. Our reading tastes vary wildly as well, but we all share two things: a love of literature and a wicked sense of humor.  

We laugh together and cry together.  We celebrate our birthdays together. We reach out to each other without fear of being judged. And, of course, we chat a lot about books.  

We’ve made friends for life.

And all of this thanks to Bookstagram.

This reel is our way of celebrating our joy in each other and in this amazing Booksta community, and a chance to share some of our favourite books with you.
