2001 World Series /// Book 1 πŸ† 12 pairs of Book 1s. Reconstructed into just three. Created in collaboration with @statefortyeight, this project pays tribute to the Arizona Diamondbacks’ 2001 World Series championship and the original uniforms and colors that defined that era. Months in the making, each pair required four separate pairs of Nike Book 1s to be carefully disassembled and reconstructed. Components from the All-Star, Decade, Desert Camo, and Python colorways were combined with custom-made pieces to bring this design to life. Only three pairs were created, each made specifically for: 1/3 β€” Devin Booker 2/3 β€” State Forty Eight 3/3 β€” Luis Gonzalez I was just seven years old watching the Diamondbacks win the World Series with my dad. Twenty-five years later, having the opportunity to bring a piece of that history to life through my own work is something special.
