LAST RIDE

This is a personal project I directed last year.
Jun and I have been close friends in the Japanese car scene for sometime now. We did many runs on the Wangan, countless laps of the C1 loop together - so when Jun became a dad, and told me he was letting his Ferrari go, I knew I had to shoot something.

I had always wanted to direct my own film of a car flying through the city.
So with a week of planning, around 5 hours of filming, and with a small but very talented film crew of 5, we filmed Jun's last drive, his farewell to the car he cherished so much.

This project was a great opportunity to put the skills and techniques I’ve learned from being able to work with the best.

Unfortunately it is very short.
But I hope you enjoy 60 seconds of the flat-plane, Naturally Aspirated Ferrari V8, screaming through the city of Tokyo.
