5 MILLION VIEWS. And somehow, that’s not even the most extraordinary part. ❤️

When I shared my original coming-out article from 1997, I thought I was sharing a piece of my past.

I never imagined how many of you would tell me it was a piece of yours, too.

The memories you’ve shared, the stories you’ve carried, the lives that were changed in ways I never knew about... it’s been overwhelming in the most beautiful way.

Almost 30 years later, I’m learning that the impact of that moment reached so much further than I ever realized.
Our history matters. Our visibility matters. And the people who helped pave the way matter.

Thank you for reminding me of that. And thank you for trusting me with your stories. I will carry them with me. ❤️🏳️‍🌈

Sheheryar Munawar reflects on Zaryab’s redemption, emphasising that she is not a bad person but someone who made a mistake, while highlighting his responsibility to tell stories that challenge the usual portrayal of forgiveness in Pakistani dramas where a character like Abu Bakar would often rather die than accept someone like Zaryab’s apology & redemption. #SheheryarMunawar #DurefishanSaleem #DarENijaat (📸: @bbcasiannetwork)

Growing up is such a strange feeling… 🥹❤️

पहले Diwali पर मम्मी कहती थीं, “जल्दी उठो, घर की सफाई करनी है!”

और अब कहती हैं, “बेटा, Diwali पर थोड़ा time निकालकर घर आ जाना…” 🏡🪔

Same festival, same home, same mummy… बस हम बड़े हो गए और ज़िंदगी थोड़ी बदल गई। ❤️‍🩹

Back then, we wanted to escape all those घर के काम… and now, we just wish we could go back to those days, even for a little while.

कितनी अजीब बात है ना… जिस घर में कभी पूरा दिन बिताते थे, अब उसी घर जाने के लिए छुट्टी निकालनी पड़ती है। 🥺

Dear childhood, can we meet again? Just for one Diwali? 🤍

Tell me, do you miss those childhood Diwalis too? 🪔
