Anne Safran Dalin

I was so saddened to hear that Nichelle Nichols has died. Her “Star Trek” character Uhura broke barriers as one of the first Black female leads on television.

As a long time Star Trek fan, it was a thrill to meet her. We had a delightful conversation, and I was tickled when she complimented my hair! ☺️ That was a meeting I'll never forget. 💖
