Processing all my thoughts behind this and figuring out how to move forward has made for a very difficult few weeks, and will prove to challenge me in the future as I have lost one of my brothers. You were one of my earliest influences in Santa Fe graffiti and gaining your friendship and comradery meant the world to me. You kept it as real as could be no matter what, and you always saw the best in me and my potential and always tried to put me on from very early. I remember you calling me up and telling me to go back to the piece I just did and throw a TYO on it, I think I went to Geronimo that night to celebrate because of how much that meant to me, which I later found out is something you definitely would have approved of with your boujee ass lol. We all had so much love for you and you to us, you would have done ANYTHING at any moment for your crew and that’s not something I say lightly. Whyoh was the type of person if he had $5, and you were broke and hungry, then YOU had $5. No question. He was the most caring and generous individual that I knew and only ever wanted to be seen. The last time we hung out was a couple weeks before you passed, we got dinner and had a great time. I thought this spot had some decent New Mexican food but I think we were both highly disappointed lol… what can you expect from Colorado. While waiting at the stoplight leaving the lot, I watched you talk to the homeless man sitting there in the median the entire time. Not just a little acknowledgement, I watched you both start dying laughing and fully intune with a conversation. As you pulled away you gave him probably 4-5 cigarettes and some money, how much I don’t know but knowing you, probably at least enough to grab a meal. That moment spoke volumes to me and I’ll never forget it. That was the last time I saw you and I wish I knew that at the time… I have so much to say, I could go on and on forever about how much Whyoh meant to the people around him, the times he introduced me to his friends and they acted as if I was automatically family because I knew Whyoh.
