The Invasion of the Caucasus 1942
•
As part of the German invasion of the Soviet Union in World War 2, Operation Edelweiß was a German offensive operation into the Caucasus region to obtain vital oil fields to fuel the German War Machine. Although severely outnumbered by German forces in the beginning of the offensive in the summer of 1942, Soviet forces put up stiff resistance defending the Caucasus region which was eventually retaken in 1943 as a part of Soviet offensives to secure and retake key cities such as Stalingrad, Rostov, and Sevastapol.

This is part of a collaboration with numerous other builders in which I contributed two of the tallest mountain plates, the tall pines, my Sdkfz 8 with mountained 8.8cm cannon, and Panzer IV.
