Book 2 of the Folk of the Air trilogy.
3 stars for this one.
This book was such an improvement from the first book. I didn't like the first book (The Cruel Prince) at all. This one had a boring start like first 25-30% of the book was kinda draggy. But the storytelling got better as we progressed.

1st one. Jude was a lot more better than the first book and I've started to like her a bit (still question some of her choices though). There were a few things that didn't sit right with me like the reasoning behind the betrayal, the aging system for humans that she mentioned. There were a lot of things that could've been explained better. Maybe it will all be in the third book we will see that.

Cardan was a bit more likeable?? Well he was certainly bearable in this book. Though I still don't like the love angle between him and Jude. It just doesn't sit right with me with everything that he has done. Locke was annoying as usual, I hate that guy so much. Madoc was just Madoc. I do find his character very interesting. I wish there was bit more of him in this book. Taryn, Lord, Taryn is so so damn annoying she got on my nerves everytime she came, like girl please get the fuck out of here.

One thing I would've really loved if it was in this book are the more povs, especially Cardan's. I would love to read the chapters from his pov.
I did like the ending and that twist. It was well deserved. Yeah I like Jude but she kinda had it coming. Loved seeing how the tables turned.
