Portugal's artwork. The beautiful thing about art is that with enough digging you have a better understanding of the political climate, history, and culture.

1) mural highlighting fado music!
2) art I found in the streets of Porto
3) tiles! Portugese people really love their tiles. A lot of buildings have them!
4) Took a stroll during the evening and bumped into this street artist. Beautifully played.
5) More tiles! Fun fact: in the earlier times, blue tiles meant that your family had money. These tiles were painted with blue ink so of course it meant it was expensive. Purple tiles meant royalty. Thanks to technology blue tiles became accessible to just about anyone.
6) FADO MUSIC!
7) Architecture
9) Palacío de Pena - monastery that was pretty much ruined after the big earthquake of 1755. King then rebuilt the palace, which has a collection style of Catholicsm and Islam. The Moors had conquired the Iberian Peninsula (now Portugal) that's why it has so many Moorish influences.
10) The creator's master piece 🥺 just had to take in this scene for an hour.

Thank you for joining me in my little tour guide. ❤️
