If you don’t have Haleakala in your Maui itinerary, then we suggest you revisit that itinerary and find a way to squeeze it in. Sunrise is the most popular, but you’ll need reservations which are hard to grab. So, we suggest doing sunset! It doesn’t require reservations, but go a few hours before sunset to account for the national park admission pass line. It’s also a must to stay past sunset and do some stargazing (second pic)!
