Ooooooo Satalana ;) Having fun before a show this past weekend. I often hear "guess you need a belly dance?" Or some variation of this sentiment, lol. No, you don't need a "belly" anymore than you need a flat stomach. I have done this at multiple sizes and I can say with absolute certainty that the skills to isolate and control abdominal muscles have nothing to do with how much adipose tissue you do or dont have in the region. Engagement, particularly in the lower abdominals is much more important. Time spent working on the skills themselves are much more important and having FUN while learning snd enjoying the music are incredibly important as well. :) Song is Satalana by @abdelbasethamoudaofficial Costume made by me
5 things I believe we should do more often: 1️⃣ BE A BEGINNER AGAIN! Try a dance class. Learn a language. Pick up something you’re terrible at! You don’t have to be good at everything to enjoy it. Give yourself permission to learn. 2️⃣ PUT YOURSELF IN YOUR CALENDAR! We make time for appointments, work and everyone else’s needs. Schedule something just for YOU this week. A walk, a quiet breakfast, an afternoon with no obligations. Your time matters too. 3️⃣ STOP SAVING THINGS FOR “ONE DAY”! Wear the beautiful outfit. Use the special perfume. Book dinner with your friends. An ordinary Tuesday is a perfectly good occasion. 4️⃣ NOTICE WHO MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOURSELF! Who can you laugh with? Who listens? Who gets excited about your ideas? Make more time for those people — and be that person for them, too. 5️⃣ CHANGE ONE “I CAN’T” INTO “I’LL TRY”! “I can’t wear that.” “I’m too old to start.” Sometimes we’ve repeated a rule for so long that we forget to question it. Start with one small thing you’ve been talking yourself out of. I don’t know exactly what my next chapter will look like. But I want to have a say in how it’s written. 💕 💬 What’s something you’d still love to try? Tell me below! ✅ SAVE this for the next time you catch yourself saying “I’m too old.” 🔁 SHARE it with a woman you’d love to try something new with. 👉 FOLLOW ME for fashion, confidence and a little encouragement to go for it.
