What a night.

The Emmys were a reminder of how much work, sacrifice, patience, faith, and support it takes to get to a moment like this.

I’m incredibly grateful for the nominations, for the people who believed in me, for the team that helped me show up as my best self, and for everyone who has been part of the journey along the way.

There are a lot of long days behind a night like this. A lot of people. A lot of love.

I don’t take any of it for granted.

What a night. 🩶

Class is in session for A History of Design. Lesson two: the Georgians 🏛️

Strap yourselves into your corsets, because we’re heading back to 1714–1830 to explore the era of symmetry, proportion, sash windows and fireplaces that refuse to be overlooked.
From grand Georgian architecture and floor-to-ceiling panelling to the early influence of Thomas Chippendale, dado rails (which, FYI, had rather practical origins) and those deliciously moody historic paint colours. All of which goes some way to explaining why Georgian interiors feel so effortlessly right.

And yes, this is a LONG one. We’re going long-form, baby. Ever heard of it?! 😜 I jest, but I do worry about what all these short and snappy reels are doing to our attention spans, so here’s a healthy 2 minutes and 30 seconds of interior design nerdiness. You’re welcome.

Give me a 🏛️ in the comments if you made it to the end, and thank you again, for indulging me in a little history lesson.

Next lesson: arches. Class dismissed.
