Only a few dozen people known to be alive today were born before World War I began in July 1914. Anyone in that group is at least 112 years old, making them some of the oldest verified people on the planet. The oldest of them is Ethel Caterham of the United Kingdom, who was born in August 1909 and is now 117, and nearly all of the world’s oldest living people are women. Researchers point to a mix of biology and behavior, since women tend to develop heart disease later in life and men have historically been more likely to smoke, drink heavily and take on riskier jobs. Brazil’s João Marinho Neto, born in October 1912, is currently the world’s oldest living man. Researchers say the true number of people born before the war may be higher, since not every supercentenarian’s age has been verified. #viral #age #news
Indian cricket star Virat Kohli turns 38 today, November 5. Born in Delhi in 1988, Kohli has become one of the most successful batters in international cricket. He has scored 86 international centuries and more than 28,000 runs across all formats.  Kohli celebrated the eve of his birthday in style by scoring 74 runs off just 51 balls against New Zealand in the first ODI in Auckland. His knock helped India secure a five-wicket win. Fans at the stadium also sang the birthday song for him while he was fielding near the boundary.
