In January, Texas will be blue. Not a sort-of shade of light blue, but bright, bold, Yves Klein blue. The midterm election results revealed a Texas that Vogue’s Margaux Anbouba (@margaux_polaux) had always hoped for—and believed in. Here we revisit our summer editorial that documented and paid tribute to the communities and characters rewriting the American narrative in Texas. At the link in our bio, Anbouba reflects on her upbringing in the Friendship State amidst a sea of red and why she loves Texas today, more than ever. Photographed by @tylersphotos. Did the war with Iran hurt Republicans in Tuesday's elections? President Trump says that's probably true. The president acknowledges that higher gas prices may have played a role in the party's losses after a reporter brings up Vice President JD Vance's assessment from his post earlier today on X. But Trump isn't backing away from the decision: "If I had it to do again, I'd have to do it again, because long term it's the only answer. You can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon." “They say it takes a village but literally it took a world to get me here,” ujar Bushby. So, your thoughts? 🫡 [📸via AFP, KarlBushby.World] #USSFeed
Recently, the well-known Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Gupta passed away. It was during his funeral, when his 13-year-old daughter Dalai Gupta was seen showing her middle finger to the paps, who had surrounded their car. The late Sanjay’s wife Anuradha Lekhi Gupta took to social media through Milap Zaveri’s account and posted the following: ‘Sanjay loved his family and children immensely. Our children are adolescents who have suddenly lost their beloved father. Having grown up away from the glare of the limelight and the intrusive nature of paparazzi culture, they were deeply distressed by the sudden intrusion into their privacy at such a difficult time. In their grief and anguish, some of their reactions may have been directed towards certain members of the media. I sincerely regret any hurt this may have caused. I humbly request everyone to understand these reactions for what they truly are — the expressions of grieving children struggling to come to terms with an irreparable loss. I request you to kindly excuse them, and appeal to everyone to delete any content that may leave lasting emotional scars on their young minds. Please allow them the privacy, compassion, and space they need to grieve the loss of their father. With gratitude, Anuradha’.💔🙏🏻
Finding myself in motherhood but it’s just me crying in my car lol but no really I think doing nothing is underrated and I felt a lot better after. Lmk your favorite thing to do to decompress and ideally one that makes me feel better about myself (like don’t say deep clean my bathroom okay?!?) 😘💓
