Another story for the fans of the legendary @kevinlevrone …💪

After placing second to Dorian Yates at the 1992 Mr. Olympia, Kevin competed in two shows on the European Tour.

He placed second to Dorian at the British Grand Prix and WON the German Grand Prix.

I had the pleasure of doing a few guest appearances and seminars with Kevin, in Germany 🇩🇪, and ONE in particular I’ll never forget.

We were at Bernd Beiderbeck’s gym in Bielefeld, Germany, when someone in the audience asked Kevin:

“Is it true that you bench press FOUR PLATES (405 lbs) for 10 reps in training?”

Kevin laughed and casually replied:

“Yeah… I do that for a WARM-UP!”

Naturally, someone immediately asked:

“Can you SHOW US?”

Kevin said, “SURE!”

Now, being that we were in Germany, where weights are measured in kilograms, Kevin asked how much 405 lbs was in kilos.

Someone said, “180 kg.”

Kevin simply nodded and had them load the bar.

I can’t really remember whether he warmed up with two plates first, but I KNOW that 180 kg was either his SECOND SET…or possibly even his FIRST! No warmups 😬!

And then…

13 PERFECT REPS!!!

Not 10…THIRTEEN!

He added 3 extra just to make a point.

He made it look SO EASY that I genuinely believe he could have done 20!

I remember standing there in SHOCK and asking him:

“Man, aren’t you afraid of tearing your PEC? This is HEAVY! It’s November in Germany, it’s COLD…you should at least WARM UP properly!”

Kevin just laughed it off in his typical Kevin Levrone style and said:

“I CAN DO THAT IN MY SLEEP!”

Well…

Not long after that, Kevin actually TORE HIS PEC while bench pressing.

I have NEVER forgotten that day. (I just saw it in my album, with a note…)

An absolute FREAK OF NATURE…KEVIN LEVRONE! 💪🔥

This legendary animated series is famous for pushing the boundaries of children’s television, sneaking in notoriously adult double entendres right under the noses of network censors.

In this iconic scene from the episode “Hercule Yakko,” Dot takes a literal approach to a detective trope when told to “dust for prints,” returning with the actual pop icon Prince.

Interestingly, the writers deliberately slipped the “fingerprints” vs. “finger Prince” pun past the studio executives, creating a joke that completely bypassed kids but became an absolute viral legend for adults decades later.

Despite the constant battles with standards and practices, the show won widespread acclaim, defining the golden age of 90s smart-satire cartoons.

Don't slash your food budget so much that you end up feeling deprived! 😄

Dr. Pal compares dieting to managing a household budget. The goal isn't to cut everything out. It's to spend wisely!

Eat enough protein and fibre, keep yourself full and stop treating weight loss like punishment.

Moderation, not starvation, is the key to sustainable weight loss.
