I saw a mama Grizzly and her cub while backpacking in a remote part of a Glacier and was able to capture a photo of the grizzly bear from a safe distance using a telephoto wildlife lens. I saw a total of 29 bears that summer in Montana, with 19 of them being grizzlies. One of the most memorable experiences was seeing the largest grizzly bear I had ever encountered while mountaineering.
