Posted on my story, but thought I’d share here too. I’m not pretending to know more than doctors, because I clearly DON’T. But being told I was overweight without much discussion about my fitness background or activity level definitely caught me by surprise. I understand BMI has its place, but it doesn’t account for muscle mass or body composition. For context, I have 70 lbs of skeletal muscle mass and 21% body fat. Just a reminder that one number doesn’t tell the whole story. I’m not going to let a label define me or dictate how I live my life ❤️
