Turbulence Studies: Simmering (2022)
Another iteration of Turbulence Studies took place as the sun came down on Oct 1-3, 2022 in Amsterdam. Situated in a hidden corner by a small lagoon in Beatrix Park, where different kinds of busy daily activities clash and intersect during the daytime, I collected sounds and acquainted myself with the surrounding eco system and the terrain’s patterns in the days leading up to the exhibition, to come up with the site specific light and sound composition. The audio-visual intervention and installation only came alive in the dark and quiet side of the day to observe the unseen, hidden yet complex forces that play into our rather mundane surrounding.
