I’ve written a book! By My Hands, published by @penguinukbooks in the UK, (released 14 September), and by @tenspeedpress in the USA, (14 November). It’s available to pre-order now, via the link in my profile’s biography.

This has been my secret project over the past year, like a good number of you guessed, and I’m thrilled to finally be able to announce it. This project has kept me out of the studio, away from the wheel and from throwing pots, but it’s been worth it as a means of putting my thoughts on to paper and describing my path to becoming a potter.

It tells that story in four parts, discovering clay, finding a voice, the apprenticeships I completed and pots that challenged me, all accompanied by photographs I’ve taken over the past decade of making, learning and firing pottery. It isn’t a how-to book, it’s something much more personal, and I cannot wait to share it with you.

Thanks to everyone who has helped make this book a reality — and now you know what the project is — I hope to share much more with you all over the coming months as we lead up to the very exciting publication day and stay tuned for more exciting pre-order news and competitions over the coming months.
