طفل مسلسل حيث تشرق الشمس ودع فريق العمل 😳

not a dry eye, thank you @jennifer.garner @mother.ly @sharondipity for this opportunity to ask my one burning question!!!!

I thought I’d share my weekly non-negotiables! My schedule looks different depending on the week. But these 3 stay on my list:

🧠 Practicing gratitude. I journal for 3–5 minutes every morning about the big and small things I’m thankful for. ESPECIALLY when things feel hard, intrusive to focus my brain as much as I can on what’s going good in my life.

💫 Moving my body. My mantra is 20 minutes is better than zero!!! Some days it’s a workout, some days it’s a walk. I make room for what I can.

🥞 Showing up for my kids as best I can. Some weeks that means sending pictures while I’m on a business trip. Sometimes it means making chocolate chip pancakes. The ways I show up change, but the intention stays the same and my only intent is they know how much they are treasured and adored.

What’s one non-negotiable you make room for each week?

📂 Weekly habits, gratitude, movement, motherhood, working mom, intentional living

Lucien Smith spent his August making new ‘Rain Paintings’ at an abandoned Montauk baseball field in a return to his early-career stardom and what would be his final exhibition.

The four large-scale pieces are now on view in ‘Delay of Game,’ an ongoing show at @tripoligallery, whose title draws from a baseball call: when rain stops the play, the grounds crew roll out a tarp to protect the field. For Smith, the tarp catches the paint.

The speckled canvases emit a meditative quality, reflecting Smith’s own inner state when he made them. “A process like this is a gift,” he said. “When I was younger I thought I needed to keep looking, that landing on one thing so early meant I’d be missing something. I let the market and outside criticism dictate my practice, and that was a mistake. Life has taken me full circle. I think it is time to return to the process I was given.”

‘Delay of Game’ is now on view until November 23. Read more via the link in bio.
