THE BIGGEST LESSON WASN’T WRESTLING. 🧠💪

Yesterday, Titan spent two hours wrestling with an incredible 28-year-old athlete. Aggressive, intense, nonstop work with someone who can absolutely dominate him on the mat.

Titan is seven.

Now, most people would see this as a wrestling lesson. A chance to learn some moves, improve technique, and get tougher.

I saw something much bigger.

A seven-year-old learning how to think, communicate, and understand himself through adversity.

Think about that.

He’s physically battling someone older, stronger, faster, and far more experienced. He’s being challenged, forced to adapt, make decisions, deal with frustration, and solve problems in real time.

But here’s where the real education begins.

The conversation AFTER the wrestling.

What did you learn?

What worked? What didn’t?

What did you enjoy? What frustrated you?

What would you do differently next time?

And most importantly, WHY?

When I was growing up, we wrestled our brothers, our friends, whoever wanted to throw down. Then we went home. Nobody sat around analyzing the experience.

But imagine combining that old-school physical toughness with the ability to reflect, communicate, and understand WHY things happen.

That’s a completely different level of development.

Titan isn’t just learning wrestling from an incredible athlete. He’s learning how to communicate with an adult, ask questions, accept feedback, express his own thoughts, and turn difficult experiences into knowledge.

The wrestling develops the athlete. The conversation develops the thinker.

And when you combine those two things at seven years old, you’re building something far more valuable than a collection of wrestling moves.

You’re teaching a child HOW TO LEARN.

Because eventually, the goal isn’t to have a kid who needs someone to tell him every answer.

It’s to raise a young man who knows how to find the answers himself.

That’s the real victory. ⚔️
