Jazz with Cheryl Hodge! Straight ahead mainstream, fusion, Brazilian influence... This is what's to be found on "Indigo,' from Cheryl Hodge. This was in part inspired by Miles Davis as well as an exploration of different grooves, and placement of some occasional searing rock guitar onto wonderful jazz tunes - inspired by walks through a graveyard. Cheryl states that this was a breakout album for her.
The conversation about "Indigo" will be played over two broadcasts, though each program stands alone.
The first one includes conversation about some of the tracks of course, but also a story about getting invited to a party at Miles Davis's hotel room, with a veritable who's who of celebrities showing up...
