Odin has officially turned 1 year old! This boy who kept me up all night last has been so amazing! He is one of the best hiking, ski, and biking buddies anyone could ask for. He is full of love and energy (maybe to much)! So happy to have him in my life!

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has sparked backlash among PC gamers and technology enthusiasts after suggesting that keeping large amounts of RAM in personal computers is an inefficient use of limited global memory supplies. Speaking on John Collison's "Cheeky Pint" podcast, Altman argued that centralized data centers could make better use of DRAM than individual computers that remain underutilized for much of the day. His comments were made in the context of running Al models locally versus through cloud infrastructure. The remarks frustrated many PC enthusiasts already concerned about rising memory prices and growing demand from Al companies. Critics argued that personal computers serve purposes beyond Al, including gaming, editing, and other demanding applications, while also allowing users to maintain control over their own hardware. The controversy has renewed debate over whether the rapid expansion of Al infrastructure is coming at the expense of everyday consumers.
