“I married my best friend, believing we had our whole lives ahead of us. But just a year later, I was begging a doctor to save her life...” "In 2018, I met Ritika when I returned to work after taking a break to be with Papa as he battled cancer. I was feeling lost at the time, and meeting her brought some comfort into my life... I still remember seeing her on our training day. I thought she was beautiful, but I was too shy to approach her. Thankfully, a mutual friend helped us start talking." “Soon, we were sharing lunches, cracking jokes and gossiping at work. Ritika was kind to everyone. Even when I couldn't afford lunch, she would happily share hers with me. I fell in love with her kindness, and the way she made me feel. At a time when life felt difficult, she brought happiness back into it.” “We were best friends who loved spending time together, and somewhere along the way, we fell in love. I massaged her head and gave her a painkiller, hoping she would feel better. But soon, she started vomiting. After the second time, she lost consciousness. I rushed her to the hospital. An MRI revealed a massive brain haemorrhage, and she needed emergency surgery. Before the operation, the doctor warned me that the bleeding was so severe, she might not survive. I couldn't hold my pain, I begged him, ‘Sir, whatever you can do, aap usko kaise bhi karke theek kar do. Rest, I’ll take care of.’” “Ritika underwent a long surgery. She also developed pneumonia. Everyday I would whisper to her, ‘Can you just wake up and come back home? I really
