At 18, his father started charging him rent. At 30, he finally understood why. For 12 years, he handed over part of his hard-earned money every month. He thought his father was being unnecessarily strict, especially when other parents let their children live at home for free. But on his wedding day, his father surprised him with something he never expected. A notebook documenting every rent payment he'd made over the years, along with a savings account containing all that money, plus interest. What he believed was money lost had quietly been building his financial future. His father hadn't been collecting rent to make a profit. He had been teaching his son how to budget, stay consistent, and take responsibility for his finances. And when the time came to begin a new chapter of his life, those years of discipline became a financial head start. The lesson? Sometimes, the greatest gift a parent can give isn't money itself, but the habits that teach their children how to manage it. It's a powerful story about patience, financial responsibility, and a father's love expressed through actions rather than words. Whether this story is true or simply a lesson passed down, its message is worth remembering. Good parenting isn't always about making life easier today. Sometimes, it's about preparing your children for tomorrow. Would you use this approach to teach your children financial responsibility? Cartooning myself as an escape from this Monday 😅😎💖 Still very tired from the dutch wintertime, my body is so used to it’s routine. Instead of waking up at 5 AM to go to work my internal clock wakes me up at 4 AM .. summertime! Hopefully my body starts to adapt soon! Happy Monday everyone
DEVELOPING: The Cincinnati Bengals have checked in on the availability of Colts star RB Jonathan Taylor, per Jordan Schultz. If Cincinnati finds a way to acquire Taylor, they'd have a star-studded offense that features: 🔸Joe Burrow 🔸Jonathan Taylor 🔸Ja'Marr Chase 🔸Tee Higgins That would be box office 🔥
Work It OUT 🔗 inclusionchampions.bg 📸 Росина Пенчева * * * A Sofia hospital is helping LGBTI couples become parents 🏳️‍🌈 Last week, that work won the Big Impact Initiative award at the first Inclusion Champions Awards 🏆 Nadezhda Hospital set up its NOVA programme in 2024 with GLAS Foundation. It gives LGBTI couples access to consultations, assisted reproduction and donor programmes within Bulgarian law, without discrimination. It has already helped people become parents. 🇬🇧 We were patron of the Big Impact Initiative category, which recognises programmes with measurable results, and our Deputy Head of Mission, Elizabeth Chapman, presented the award. We support the rule of law and equal rights in Bulgaria, because a society is stronger when the rules apply equally to everyone. Congratulations to NOVA and to finalists Paysafe Giving and Fantastico Group’s Do Teb 👏 The awards are organised by GLAS Foundation and the Work It OUT business network 🔗 inclusionchampions.bg 📸 Rosina Pencheva
